Kalendus Manual

Kalendus is a set of Perl scripts, HTML pages, and a MySQL backend database. We developed it at InterVarsity Press because we did not find any other calendars that were web accessible, supported multi-day spanning events, and supported repeated events. It is being made available as open source software under the GNU Public License. I can answer some questions but technical support may be limited.

The name Kalendus means the first of the month in the Roman calendar. Days were referred relative to the next kalends, nones, or ides of the month. So the fifth of the kalends of May is five days before May 1st, or April 26th (OED).
